Download & Log out of Zoom

You will need to have the Zoom App to record transcripts. You will not be able to do this via the Zoom website. 

Visit https://zoom.us/download and follow their instructions to download the Zoom Workplace App that is compatible with your computer. 

If you already have the Zoom app installed, please sign out of your personal account before proceeding with the next steps. 

Logging in with 1Password

Jeenie will send you the email address and a link to retrieve the password needed to access Zoom. Passwords are securely sent through 1Password. You will not need to download 1Password to continue

  1. Open the email you received
  2. Take note of the email address. You will need this for the next steps
  3. Copy and paste the 1Password URL into a new browser tab
    1. The URL will not work correctly if you click on it, you must copy and paste it into a new tab
  4. Enter the email address from step 2
    1. Do not enter any other email address as it will not work
  5. 1Password will send a code to access the password. This code will forward to your personal email address. 
  6. Enter the code from your email
  7. You will now be able to copy and paste the password from 1Password into Zoom

  8. Initial 1Password page: Enter in the email address provided to youimage1

  9. Successfully view the password. Copy and paste into Zoomimage2

 

 

Logging into Zoom

You will need to log into Zoom using the email address provided to you, not your personal email address. Jeenie recommends copying and pasting from 1Password to ensure accuracy. 

  1. Open the Zoom App 
  2. Click Sign in
  3. Enter the email address from 1Password
  4. Enter the password from 1Password
  5. Zoom may send you a code to access the account.   This code will forward to your personal email address. 
  6. Enter the code
  7. You are now successfully logged into the correct Zoom account and can begin recording!

Troubleshooting

If you are unable to access 1Password or Zoom, please carefully read the instructions above again. Missed steps, or clicking on the URL instead of pasting it, and entering the wrong email address are the main reasons people are unable to log in.
