The platform does not currently provide a live dashboard or tracking system for participants. We recommend keeping a personal log of your recordings, including the date, topic, and partner name.
After payments are processed, you will receive an email with a breakdown of the percentage of your recordings that are Accepted or Rejected. Rejections will be broken down by Rejection Category for more context on what caused the recording to be rejected.
Check out our Rejected Recordings FAQ for more details.
What would cause my recording to be rejected?
While Jeenie will try to use any recording that is submitted, your submission may be rejected for several reasons. Below are the most common issues and tips to prevent them:
📝 Registration Errors
- Not completing sign-up and agreement forms
- Using mismatched or incorrect email addresses
- Generating the recording link incorrectly
✅ How to prevent this:
- Ensure both speakers fully complete all sign-up and agreement steps
- Each participant must use their own email address across all steps
- Do not share an email with your partner
- Do not switch between different emails
- Follow the instructions carefully in the form when generating your unique recording link
- To make it easier to verify who’s speaking, we recommend turning cameras on during recordings whenever possible.
🎧 Technical Issues
- Poor audio quality
- Echo or feedback
- Background noise
- One speaker not being heard
- Unstable internet connection (lag, dropouts, poor audio)
- Other quality issues determined by Jeenie
✅ How to prevent this:
- Use a reliable wired headset or external microphone (not built-in mics)
- Test audio before starting
- Record in a quiet place
- Avoid recording in public spaces or outdoors
- Make sure both speakers’ voices are clear and balanced
💻 Recording Setup Errors
- Both speakers recording on the same device
- Speakers in the same room (causing echo/feedback)
- Not using proper equipment
- Having people or animals in your recording space
✅ How to prevent this:
- Each speaker must use their own device
- Record from different rooms/locations
- Always use a headset or earphones with a microphone
- Do not have people or pets in the room with you while recording
💬 Content Issues
- Talking about prohibited topics (politics, religion, profanity)
- Conversations that don’t sound natural or go off-topic
- Only one person doing most of the talking
- Using a non-native language or recording in a language not listed on the sign-up form
- Recordings that are too short (under 5 minutes)
- Recordings that are too long (over 15 minutes – Jeenie may reject the recording or limit payment to 15 minutes)
✅ How to prevent this:
- Keep the conversation natural, balanced, and flowing between both speakers
- Stick to the conversation topics provided
- Avoid prohibited topics entirely
- If the conversation drifts, bring it back to the topic in a natural way
- Make sure both speakers contribute equally (not one person speaking most of the time)
- Record sessions that are between 5–15 minutes in length
- Jeenie recommends keeping a timer nearby to track how long your recording is before submitting
👉 Following these guidelines will help ensure your recordings are accepted and eligible for payment.
Jeenie may reject recordings for any reason if they do not meet quality standards.
