What is my rate?
When you sign up to be a Data Services Linguist, the rate(s) are displayed in the applicaion process. Rates change monthly, and changes are communicated via email each month. Please refer to that email for current rates. If you can't find it, please connect with us via chat and we can assist you.
When will I be paid?
Payments are made within 30 days after the end of each month for all fees earned during the preceding month. Fees are considered “earned” once the recording passes our quality check process.
Quality Checks can take 1–2 months after submission.
- Example: A recording submitted in June may finish QA in July. It will then be paid out by 30 August.
How will I be paid?
Funds for any fees earned will be transferred to you through our payment processor. Funds are accessible with no additional fees no more than 15 days after they have been sent to the payment processor.
You will receive notifications from the payment processor to complete your payment profile and each time funds are transferred.

Will I be paid for every submission?
No. Submissions must meet our requirements. Anything that doesn't meet our requirements will be rejected and you and your recording partner will not be paid.
Is the rate shared between partners?
No, the rate is per person, not shared.
Example: If the rate communicated to you and your partner is $0.10, you will each make $0.10 per minute recorded.
Will my recording partner be paid?
Yes! Your recording partner will be paid as long as all steps are followed correctly. They need to complete the sign-up process, receive their rate email, and use their email for the generated recording link.
As long as these steps are followed and the submission is not rejected. they will be paid.
How will my recording partner be paid?
All participants are paid using our payment processor.
If you're already a Jeenie Linguist, you'll receive payment for this project in addition to your normal Jeenie payment.
If you have not worked with Jeenie before, you will still be paid through our payment processor. Visit Receiving Your Funds for everything you need to know about getting set up—and getting paid.
My submission was rejected, will I still be paid?
No. Jeenie only pays for accepted recordings. Submissions that are unusable, don't pass our quality standards, or don't match the requirements will be rejected. If your submission is rejected, you will not be paid.

I'm also a Jeenie Interpreter. Will my payment be combined with the fees I earn for taking calls?
No. You will receive separate payments for your interpreting minutes and any work done for Data Services. If you work on multiple Data Service projects, you may receive a separate payment for each project.
Will my Data Services work show in my Jeenie call history?
No. Projects you participate in for Data Services are not client calls and will not appear in your call history.
